DD News was launched on November 2003, replacing the DD Metro. A look at the Doordarshan News website will tell that they are happy simple and neat Web1.0. They classify the news into National, International, Business, Sports, Entertainment, Sci-Tech, Social and Health. The only place where one can find some user interaction is at their daily poll.

Oxyshopping provides a platform for an online shopper to compare price of a product with a large number of online sellers. When information is consolidated, consumer gets the best price. They have a very impressive list of online retailers. The site does not deal with the logistics of buying and selling. Online retailers will get a wider audience who other wise depended only on word of mouth advertising and search engine.
Youtube blackout- Is there a silver lining?
It is not the first time Youtube was banned in a country because of the unacceptable videos. Most recently because of a mistake by the the Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA), the traffic to Youtube was interrupted for couple of hours on Sunday (Feb 24, 2008). Instead of blocking the whole site, PTA could have asked Google to take the objectionable material off the site.
