Yuvi a 17 year old wannable geek from India claims to be the first Indian Blogger to get listed in the Techmeme top 100 Leader Board. Yuvi is a stat freak and maintains a stat blog named TheStatBot. Yuvi plans to bring out intersting stats about web communities and bloggers.


Oodami is the Top Visited Blog in India

According to the a list complied by IndyiBlogger, Oodami one of the top 10 visited site in India. The other blogs which featured there are trackin, pluggin and watblog. We started this blog as a small initiative to keep track of what is happening in Indian Blogosphere. We got over whelming response from our readers. This will inspire us to work harder and bring interesting perspective and stories for our readers. We have a list of top visited posts in Oodami.


UN E-Governance readiness list, India is 113th

Despite all its efforts, India has slipped in its E-Governance ranking from 87 (in 2005) to 113 (in 2007). This is based on the UN E-Governance readiness list. India has developed a comprehensive national portal that promotes e-governance as important national policy and strategy. India is one of the 10 countries which uses emails to communicate with citizens. Pakistan has improved its rank from 136 to 131. While Bangladesh has improved its rank from 162 to 141.


Educational sector gets a boost from budget

Compared to previous year, there is a 20% increase in the budget allocation for education. This proves that the government is still committed to improve the educational system of the country. Budget carried more importance to provide elementary and high school education to all children. There are plans to open many higher education institutes throughout the country.
