Portal for The Disabled in India; Punarbhava
Last month Government of India launched a exclusive portal for the disabled in India. They call it is as Punarbhava which means renewed being. This websites caters to the disabled populations as well as those associated with them like relatives, NGOs etc. This is an initiative from Media Lab Asia in collaboration with Rehabilitation Council of India.

5 years after the first ever fraud in CAT exams, IIMs have finally decided to change the exam format to online from 2009. Every year thousands of candidates take the exam to get into IIMs and other business schools. Initially there will be around 100 centers and candidates will have to to take the exam in batches on different dates.
UN E-Governance readiness list, India is 113th
Despite all its efforts, India has slipped in its E-Governance ranking from 87 (in 2005) to 113 (in 2007). This is based on the UN E-Governance readiness list. India has developed a comprehensive national portal that promotes e-governance as important national policy and strategy. India is one of the 10 countries which uses emails to communicate with citizens. Pakistan has improved its rank from 136 to 131. While Bangladesh has improved its rank from 162 to 141.
Fully functional website for BCCI in July
Today there was an article in Hindu about a deal between BCCI and an American firm for developing and maintaining websites for the next 10 years for $50 million. The website for Indian Premier League will be launched on April 7th and that for BCCI by July, 2008. There are some interesting facts about BCCI website.
