First Indian Blogger to break into Techmeme LeaderBoard

Yuvi a 17 year old wannable geek from India claims to be the first Indian Blogger to get listed in the Techmeme top 100 Leader Board. Yuvi is a stat freak and maintains a stat blog named TheStatBot. Yuvi plans to bring out intersting stats about web communities and bloggers.


In Search of a Better News Aggregator Part 3

This is part 3 of the series which looks for a better news aggregator for Indian Content. Today I have unsubscribed all the news aggregators feeds (Startups.in, Avashya and Indimeme). These aggregators have too many posts than I can read. There are some good posts which get lost in the huge list from these aggregators. In this post we will look into Brijit and Scoble’s shared items.


What do Indian Blog Readers like to do? Part 2

In my previous post we discussed that very few (around 10%) readers of Indian Blogs leave comments. One of the reader (Vikas) left a comment saying that there aren’t enough bloggers in India who write posts which can be commented on. Most of blogs are informational. I think I agree to that point. I decided to dig some more data from Pluggd.in blog by Ashish, which had the most comments (around 260) in April 2008. Here is another beautiful graph.

This is the continuation of my quest to find a better news or blog aggregator, which aggregates contents from Indian bloggers or news websites. I am yet to find a aggregator, which will helps users to keep track of the news without cluttering the feed readers with junk and repetitive posts! In this post we will be looking into the structure of the RSS feeds from the aggregators.

Everyone one wants to be a News Aggregator Website. I have observed a couple of them and found that they are far off from adding any value add to the reader. Most sites convert RSS feeds from websites or blogs into a page and claim to be the Aggregator of Indian BlogoSphere.
