Airtel uses GoogleApps for Email (and Portal)
I took some time to understand what Airtellive was all about. Finally, I figured out what had happened. In this webpage, Airtel asked its customers to upgrade to the new email service by Feb 29th, 2008. All the features they claim in the website like 6GB space, customizable web page, chatting/emailing from mobile, and spam filtering are provided by Standard Edition of Google Apps, which is free. After almost a month they have a portal (part of Google Apps) AirtelLive for the customers. The users are redirected to AirtelMail site, which is the so-called portal.
