Search and shop online using OxyShopping
Oxyshopping provides a platform for an online shopper to compare price of a product with a large number of online sellers. When information is consolidated, consumer gets the best price. They have a very impressive list of online retailers. The site does not deal with the logistics of buying and selling. Online retailers will get a wider audience who other wise depended only on word of mouth advertising and search engine.
The site has classified products into Home, Clothing, Computers, Electronics, Gifts etc. Apart from the main website, they have three other sections- Shopping Stores (list of online shops by category), Classifieds and Forum.
I could not find any option to compare products of different brands. It seems that price is the only criteria for comparison. Price of the product is important criteria for an online shopper, but its is not the only one. They have a forum to discuss about the products. I think using forums to discuss products is out dated. There is no option to give feedback on the sellers. They get revenue from page views and possibly a commission from the participating seller. They could improve the overall shopping experience.
Each product page (on single page view) is surrounded by 3 large sized google advertisements. (Think user experience!)
