UN E-Governance readiness list, India is 113th

Despite all its efforts, India has slipped in its E-Governance ranking from 87 (in 2005) to 113 (in 2007). This is based on the UN E-Governance readiness list. India has developed a comprehensive national portal that promotes e-governance as important national policy and strategy. India is one of the 10 countries which uses emails to communicate with citizens. Pakistan has improved its rank from 136 to 131. While Bangladesh has improved its rank from 162 to 141.


Fully functional website for BCCI in July

Today there was an article in Hindu about a deal between BCCI and an American firm for developing and maintaining websites for the next 10 years for $50 million. Getting employees for Indian startup

A job fair with difference. Startup Lunch is a unique initiative from Proto.in, where it plans to provide a platform for a face to face conversation between start-up employers and prospective employees. The earliest one would be in Delhi on March 27th. They plan to have such a meeting in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.
